Photographer's Note
This is part of as series of night shots around Berkeley. I was going for a "film noir/spy movie" kind of feel, which I think was captured fairly well in this shot. I wish I had thought to line up the end of the rail with the lower left corner of the frame.

Great shot. It'll make a nice addition to my Tunnels theme. The black and white is a good choice for the pic. And it does have a "film noir" kinda feel to it.

Is this the tunnel to Solano? It's a quite powerful shot with the bold arch at left and aging wall, curving from around the right side. The fence ties the whole image together.

You are right. The rail should have conducted up to the left corner. But, you have another alternative (see WS). It's an interesting shot, with fence's shade, the white tracks zigzagging (suddenly breaking?) and stopping in the middle. Could be a start for a thriller!

All the major elements here work very nicely as is. This conveys a great feel of mystery.

I like the way everything curves in this picture. I think the wall on the right should stay as a counter balance. It also adds a feeling of decaying engineering that works fine in this image.

Good curve. It is not easy to make a good photo in the tunnel. This one is nice. Good compo and B&W is correct choice.
