the Monteray Bay Aquarium has raised this monster black sea nettle jellyfish. it's ten feet long and the top is the size of a basketball. having been raised on sci-fi monster movies, me not the jellyfish, i have to believe this creature is the beginning of an invicible army of evil monsters which are going to be used to conquer the world! :)

Hi Tom,

very nice capture of this amazing animal (and dangerous). I had the opportunity to visit that great aquarium in 1997 and I was fascinated with the variety of animals. The POV is very nice and sharpness efficient. I like the dark background that emphasizes the main subject. Well done!

Wow this is an incredible photo. I visited Monterey in 2005, but was unable to go to the aquarium. If i get a chance to go back, i most certainly will go just to visit this thing!!
Also, the note is very useful, heehee
