Late Stargazing, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

Here's another photograph from up at Mount Diablo. The stargazing night offered by the Mount Diablo Astronomical Society was particularly interesting - among other things, we had the chance to see the new supernova, along with a lot of other nebulae and clusters.

We were waiting for the dusk twilight to pass in this photo before seeing skies like

A very good and original composition. I like that some figures are sharp, and others are very blurred.
It gives the sense of time going by, as like a film reproduced very fast.

Hello Biswaroop,

Original with these partly burred silhouettes moving against the beautiful sky. The gradation of colours in the crisp sky is superb. Pleasant summer evening atmosphere.

As a fellow stargazer, this pic makes me really jealous as I know California has amazingly clear skies.

I like the way some people were standing still, giving them solid silhouettes, while the moving people created a ghosting effect. Good capture of the sunset colours too.
