Photographer's Note

In San Diego there are some world-famous tourist attractions. The district known as Barrio Logan has nothing special — except that it has Chicano Park with its famous murals. At the eastern edge of the park there is a shop (La Central Market); last year I saw these artists working on the wall of the shop, on the side that faces the Chicano Park. [Quick quiz: how many people do you see in the picture?]
See also this unfinished mural in the workshop.
Update: as suggested by Paolo, I made a workshop cropping the picture to show only the mural.
I made also a workshop of a fake stamp.

Chicano is a political-cultural term used by or for people of Mexican descent in the USA. It may refer to American citizens of Mexican origin or immigrants from Mexico, both "legal" and "illegal". However, not all Mexican-Americans like to be called Chicano. Like other persons from Latin America who live in the USA, some Chicanos just call themselves Latinos, Hispanos, Hispanic Americans, La Raza, etc.
The most famous Chicano or Mexican-American civil rights activist and labor leader was César Chávez.
