Photographer's Note

Many streets, highways, institutions, etc, are named after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as a tribute to the great civil rights leader, all over the USA. He lived also in San Diego, California, and we can see his name in many locations (like my previous photos).
This is a section of California State Route 94 within San Diego, somewhere between Balboa Park and Downtown. I supposed this was Interstate I-5, but according to Google Maps (and Wikipedia), only SR 94 takes the name Martin Luther King Jr Freeway. So, either this is really SR 94, or it is I-5 and the sign is an advanced notice for the SR 94. The sign on the bridge on top reads: Exit 1, 28th Street, 1/2 mile; if this is SR 94, that bridge is perhaps 25th Street and I took the photo from a previous (western) bridge that is 22nd Street.

In workshops there are two other views (MLK Freeway - 2 and MLK Freeway - 1) of the same area, in a different day. It's on the junction of I-5 (San Diego Freeway) with SR 163 (Cabrillo Freeway). The junction with SR 94 (M L King Jr Fwy, as we see in the signs) is 3/4 mile ahead. I guess the POV of workshops is a bridge of 6th Avenue over I-5. It's southwestern corner of Balboa Park.
