Photographer's Note
Believe it or not this is planet Earth. I took this along the northern coastline of California near Mendocino. This area is referred to as the "Lost Coast". There are a lot of great outlooks and dramatic stretches of rocky coast line here. This was one of only a few shots I took while visiting as I was on a mini-honeymoon.

Thanks for your time and comments.

Jim
This looks like dangerous stuff. Hope you were alright on your mini-honeymoon. Two points just for risking it.
Nice light and dramatic effect.

Hello Jim, unbelievable what you managed during a honeymoon. Congratullations. I like very much the way you captured the water motion - it is a dynamic picture and great one shade colors. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Michael

Hello Jim,
Great costal shot with minimal colour - but shade upon shade upon shade. I like it - but what is a mini-honeymoon? :)
Best regards

Great shot Jim, I always love shots with the rock formations getting lighter as they get further away.
Great colours and composition.
Thanks for sharing.
Michael.

Amazing feature, with hollows in the successive rocks, perfect lighting to make the most of the view.

Beautiful shot! Lovely light and shadow composition with the wave in the center, creating a nice focal point.
I only WISH I lived on the Lost Coast! Actually, the Lost Coast is farther north, and one gets there from Rockport, not Mendocino, not Caspar (which is where Jughandle is) and most certainly not Fort Bragg. The Lost Coast begins north of Westport along Highway One, where the highway has literally dropped off the face of the earth. The gate is closed, but one can get there from Benbow. . .Lost Coast? Hardly, but close. :)
Feather, who lives on the Mendocino coast.
