Photographer's Note

I apologize for being out of the Trek Earth circuit for the past couple of months and not responding to my critiques. I am swamped with my regular job and my photo assignments, not to mention getting my mother ready to move up to Denver the end of July. Like many of you, I dream of winning the lottery and not having to work for a living (LOL!). Money isn't everything, but it can sure help simplify our lives. I hope to get back on the TE circuit sometime this Autumn. Please do not feel compelled to critique this image. I won't be able to respond anytime soon. I just wanted to let my TE friends know that I didn't fall off the edge of the Earth. By the way, my wife and I met Barbara Kehl (baba flies) and her significent other, Benno Breit. They traveled to Colorado from Switzerland and my wife and I had a chance to meet them while they were in Denver. We treated them to a major league baseball game to see the 2007 National League champions, the Colorado Rockies at beautiful Coors Field located in downtown Denver. Thye are a lovely and very interesting couple and we enjoyed them very much. In my opinion, photography is secondary to meeting all of the very talanted and interesting people on Trek Earth.

This cute Japanese-American girl was a young novice dancer at Denver's annual Cherry Blossom Festival. I photographed this girl from the bright sunlight looking into a dark stage covered by a canopy. I find taking these types of photos a challenge. Getting the right mixture of ambient light and fill-flash is always a trial-by-error affair.
