Photographer's Note
The two headstones of equal size on the right side of the fence line are for two brothers whose markers state, "Killed By Indians". This is the Fairfield Cemetery about an hour South and West of the Salt Lake valley. It's on a bend in the road just outside of a little town. I think it used to be on the Pony Express line.
I used a circular polarizer to draw the contrast out of the sky then used levels in PS to brighten the clouds and fence. I also sharpened it a bit. This was taken during my "I want to be Ansel Adams" phase. As if I could touch what that master could do...
Tell me what you think!

Hi Steve,
I LOVE the POV here! Even a little more to the right would have been good too (2 point POV), but what makes it special is the downward tilt. Great composition, and good choice for B&W with so many textures to play with. It's also an interesting subject with a good note. Full marks :)

Steve,
thanks for out real nice critique and complements on my post. Very much appreciated.
As for this shot, Techncially all is fine, good sharpness, good clarity, the light is quite strong, but you managed just fine. Love the beautiful clouds just above the mountain. Compositionally, it feel really tight and cluttered, everything seem to be squeezed in so tightly. My suggestion is to step back a little and get a larger view, Leave some breathing room, a little negative space is nice. The square format is not always that helpful, I don't know what is in the rest of this image, and I know sometimes we cropped away things that compromised the composition. Certain image just lend itself to the aquare format, in that case by all mean. Black and white is always a classic and timeless.
Thanks Steve. Keep up the good work.

This photo lends itself well to a b&w treatment. Unlike Waylim, I would go for a tighter composition, omitting the sky and the rest of the cemetery. The fence and the headstones, after all, are the subject of your photo. Just shows you what a contrary group photographers can be. Good dof.
