Photographer's Note

Kodachrome Basin State Park has one of the cleanest camp ground, supper clean bathroom and hot shower, nicer than some people's home. Everything is so neat the people who camp here are also generally considerate and polite. The Resident ranger is supper nice. The surrounding rock formations and vegetations make the whole place more like a natural garden. If you plant to visit Bryce, it’s worth an extra day to also stay here.

Kodachrome Basin is a spectacle of massive sandstone chimneys, ever-changing from gray and white to shades of red with the day's mood. Numerous rocks and coves offer solitude, quiet and unique desert beauty. Nearby attractions include Bryce Canyon National Park, Grosvenor Arch, Paria Canyon, movie sets and ghost town remains. Opportunities include hiking, biking, photography and nearby off-highway vehicle riding areas.

This is taken early in the morning while we were on the way to see the Chimney Rock.
