Photographer's Note

There are many beautiful places in the Tetons. Some are iconic. Some are very popular. Some places will have as many as 20 photographers on any given morning all trying to get their tripod set up in the same spot. There are many other places however that are just as beautiful but there's a major difference. They aren't famous iconic locations. They are not crowded. You might be the only photographer there. This is one such place. On the morning that I took this photo there wasn't another living person within sight or hearing. Only silence and elk were around to keep me company. These moments of utter solitude are priceless to me in a world of more than 6 billion people.

Location: String Lake.
