Photographer's Note
The 1970 Malibu / Santa Monica Mountains fires were some of the areas' worst. Ironic how something so destructive and devastating for so many could also produce this scene as well.
I took this with my first 35mm film camera that I had brought home with me from Viet Nam at age 20. I've been hooked on trying to capture beauty ever since.
