Photographer's Note
Hopefully the moderators don't deem this one in violation...
Another shot from Denver, Colorado's Botanic Garden, and a bit of an unusual shot for me, as I'm not much of a flower photographer.
The flowers pictured here are Black-Eyed Susans, a flower quite common to the west - driving along the highways of New Mexico and Colorado, we saw hundreds of them lining the road. In Denver, a breed of Black-Eyed Susan that features dark petals close to the stem is the city's official flower. This display was located along the Perennial Walk of the garden. Bees were everywhere, as one might expect of a botanic garden in late August, and I got a few close-up shots; dragonflies were also a common sight, and there's a closeup of one in the WS.

Hi Andrew,
Excellent close-up giving an impression of you being one of the bees in the middle of the flowers. It's not easy to get so many in focus from that distance. Moderators should clearly accept ths one as you have a good note and the flowers are native to that region. Those Black-Eyed Susans are pretty popular in Finnish gardens too. I also like the WS.

HI Andrew
A very colourful shot perfectly exposed. As I am sure you are aware it is the bee as a focal point positioned on the intersection of the horizontal and vertical line of thirds that turns a picture of randomly positioned flowers into a well composed and structured shot.
Well done

Hi dear Andrew
Another comfortable shot! Marvelous lovely image indeed! Great framework and composition, a little overexposure is the best choice. The position of a bee is appropriate. Thanks for your sharing with finest work and have a good weekend!

Hi Andrew
Really well photographed macro-closeup image. Brilliant timing at a perfect angle and good close crop so well detailed with its intricacy and is perfectly focused for maximum sharpness. How cool is this, the fabulous colours and the soft bg makes this even more standout strikingly within the surroundings. Simply gorgeous shot, a real feast for the eyes for sure. ordinary flowers make great! Well done, TFS.
Warm regards

Hi Andrew
So glad the mods didn't snavel this beauty. It really is something above and beyond the usual "flower shot". I love the graphism of the yellow and blacks, aswell as the hint of white tones. Excellent use of the shallow depth of field too. A wonderful shot with great chromatic rendering.
Cheers
Lisa
