Photographer's Note

Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood is among its most prestigious - the top and southern side of the hill contains some of its highest-value real estate, and oldest and most beautiful homes. It also contains this little gem, which makes a highly dubious claim to be the world's most photographed street: Acorn Street, a tiny throughway impassable by cars due to its narrow width and uneven, bumpy cobblestone surface.

The flag is a replica of a Civil War era regimental flag, which would have been carried into battle. Not sure why it is flown from that particular house, but it certainly adds to the scene!

In the end, I'm not all that happy with my light management in this shot, but I still like the effect of the illuminated flag and the dog against this patrician background. Any improvement suggestions or workshops would be welcome, however.
