Massachusetts State House 2, a photo from Massachusetts, Northeast

Photographer's Note

This shot is taken, again, from a place with my favorite views of Boston, the Longfellow Bridge between Boston and Cambridge (I recently posted this shot from that bridge as well). This time the camera is pointed upriver, to the east a bit, to capture the back side of Beacon Hill and the Massachusetts State House - that visible gold dome on the left - which I posted a shot of yesterday.

Hi Andrew,

I really love a good skyline, and that is beautiful. So many differing forms of design and style in the buildings, and the addition of the wonderful autumn colours on the trees is perfect for the scene. A really great postcard capture, and even the sky was playing along nicely!

Hello Andrew,
This is like an invitation to a game: Find the State House. After some searching I see the golden dome fairly well hidden among trees and lower buildings. This is generally a fine wiew of the Boston skyline with beautifully autumn coloured trees along the river. The light and sharpness are perfect.

you know i'm going to enjoy this one!
looking a the photo more closely, it looks like its a seriously windy day!!!
the east coast of canada and the US have tremendous autumn scenery.
excellent light, skyline and city views.

Hello Andrew,
the skyline looks beautiful in itself,but in comparison with these colorful trees becomes an extra point.Superb clarity,depth and of course lovely light,you were able to utilize in a best way to increase the color saturation.Brilliant composition.I wish we had more photos like this on TE.

Both pictures are very well made, certainly you long version.
Lovely two part picture with the autumn colors in the trees and the skyscrapers in background.
But a very lovely scene and great panorama view about these area.
Excellent captured and good presentation.

Beautiful cityscape with good composition and inclusion of the green lung in autumnal colors add balance and life to the concrete jungle in the background. You have great light there, such good clarity and dof with great addition of water activity. Fine work, Congrats.

This is a nice view of Boston, made even better by the beautiful fall colors. I like the different layers in this shot: the river, the trees, and then all of the buildings. I have only been to Boston one time, but I really enjoyed it.
