Photographer's Note
Mt. Tom at Indiana Dunes State Park is located along trails 4 and 8. Towering 192 feet above Lake Michigan, Mt. Tom is the tallest sand dune in Indiana. In the warmer months, visitors can camp and spend days exploring the park. During the winter, visitors can sled or cross-country ski along the hiking trails. On the observation platform near the top of Mt. Tom, looking west, Chicago can be seen above the forested sand dunes. Gary, Indiana, is also visible.
However, when we reached the observarion platform, we were busy trying to connect with our wayward teenager. So I took a couple of photos without really exploring and we turned back to find her. This photo shows that, with the naked eye, one can barely see the industrial area between Indiana Dunes and Chicago, i.e., Gary, Indiana. Zooming in on the scenery revealed the ugliness.
Hello Murat,
It's a nice wide view and the panoramic shape of the photo was well chosen. I like the three areas of light blue, green and yellow/light brown. The wooden walkway is a nice detail.
Is Indiana Dunes a deliberate playful reference to Indiana Jones, or was it the other way around? Or is it just a funny coincidence?
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
A very nice view from this lookout point, which required quite a few steps to be climbed. I like the mix of green and yellowish tones underneath the sky.

Hi Murat
Not really a mountain but for sure a high hill. The steps at left hint at the steep incline. Good sharpness and a nice view of the distant lake. Tfs!

This nature scenery has good allocation from brown to green and grey sky aloft, Murat.
The wooden trail leading towards the thick vegetation area, leaving the viewer with a bit of a mysterious aspect.
Have a nice new week,
Ike
