A Pair of Giraffes Heading to the Ark, a photo from Kentucky, South

Today's upload serves to reply to Beverly's (Royaldevon) question in her comment a few days ago. She spotted some topiaries in my photo and wanted to confirm that. So, I thought, why not upload a photo (or two) showcasing some of the topiary art at Ark Encounter?

These giraffes are life-size, which serves to give an idea as to the size of the Ark. According to its website, "Ark Encounter is the largest timber frame structure in the world, built from standing dead timber, in part by skilled Amish craftsmen."

I was suprised because I thought that
both giraffes were alive...
but then I understood that these
giraffes were life size serving to give
an idea as to the size of the ark

Hi Murat,
wow that is quite impressive isn't it.
From this closer point we can see the pattern of the wood. I didn't think at first that it was made of wood. That makes more sense and makes it even more realistic.
I wonder whether it would be really able to float.
The animals give it a good sense of scale.
Extraordinary project, I like it!

the fake giraffes could be better finished. anyway they created a nice visual element against the wall of timber, impressive the job we can see only a part ahead.
