Also known as the Coast Guard Station Old Chicago, Coast Guard Lifeboat Station Old Chicago, Coast Guard Station Chicago, Chicago Police Marine Unit Headquarters.
Built in 1936 it accomodates Chicago Marine Police, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and the United States Coast Guard.
The CMSS was renovated in 2005 and now includes High-tech computerized command center,Join t Operations Conference room with video screen, Interior space that includes three dormers, Floating boat dock system provided by the Chicago Park District.
The station also houses Chicagos first geothermal system designed to decrease fuel consumption by making good use of water from the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. The Illinois Clean Energy Foundation provided the grant for the system.

Hi Andre,
Nice POV and view with this station as focal point, well situated in your composition with these high buildings in the Bg, good contrast effect, just a little detail, a tilt impression, tfs.

A nice contrast between the fg marina with its yachts and wooden building with the conical roof, and the bg highrise buildings. Good sharpness too. Tfs!

A nice image of Chicago Marine Safety...we wish one day do not piled up so many concrete on the planet...no more please we need to take care of our home planet Earth, good to know they are taking care of our waters.
