Zen sunrise, a photo from Arizona, West

Photographer's Note

After a crack of daw drive from Phoenix to Tucson where the sun's red orb rose from behind the hazy indigo Catalina Mountains creating a Japaneze/Zen watercolor feel, I decided to see how close I could come to capturing that look and feel from the Piestawa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak) foothills in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.

This past summer's wildfires in California were devastating and it seems nearly sacreligious to be thankful for them. However, this photo and a few more I'll be posting made me feel that.

ISO 200, f/11 at 1/3200 second, ev -1, 175mm focal length

Hi Mark,
Great photo, good light capture, interesting V and contrast of light between warm tone for the sun and the blue dominant with this shot taken at the famous blue hour, well made, tfs.

Uma beleza de foto esta com este lindo sol vermelho em contraste com o azul profundo do céu e as silhuetas das montanhas. As nuvens iluminadas no mesmo tom do sol ficaram ótimas como um bônus.
