The picture is a bit "too down". But it's interesting because of the Denzel Washington look-alike guy :)

The composition here is the problem. Quink said it, the photo is too down. You chose to cut the guy's had as well as all the interesting background and instead showed us a totally uninteresting sidewalk. I suppose you wanted to include the flowers, but it would have been a far more interesting image without the flowers but with the man and background scrapers presented to us instead. The man's body language could make a compelling shot, here though it feels like the photo is crushing him.
