Photographer's Note

This view is often seen in post cards and souveniers of the city, but I thought it was amazing and TE worthy. San Francisco is beautiful but our friend the fog often blankets many of its spectacular views. i was drivng down 101 south from Marin when I fell in love with light, and made it my quest to get to the bay before the light faded.
This was taken from Battery Spencer an old military instalation (never been there before but will return soon to check out the buildings). Battery Spencer offers very dramatic views and it is only a little climb from the parking lot, it is very, Very, VERY WINDY, and cold too. I have a tripod that lives quite comfortably in the back seat of the car and his seldom brought out, so once again it remained in the car as I tried not to shake my hands as I took this.
Both bridges are visible here the Godlen Gate and the Oakland San Francisco Bay Bridge, also Coit Tower. The whitish long buildings at the bottom are part of the Presidio, it is worth exploring the link the history is great.
Curtis has taken really amzing photos from this general area and also of the Bay Bridge.
The photo was rotated, cropped, curves levels adjusted and brightness highlighte. Decresed size in several steps sharpening a a little at a time.
