Photographer's Note

As I have shown to you a Singin' in the Rain photo of 2006 Rose Parade in Pasadena. The Rose Parade has not been caught in the rain in the last 55 year. However, this year, it was really a tough down power.

If you take a look at the picture carefully, you can see the rain drops against the dark background. As seen in this picture, they had fun and in good spirit marching down the Colorado Boulevard for the 5.5 miles (~9 km) parade route under the rainy condition.

The band on the picture is Hoover High School Marching Band from Hoover, Alabama. This marching band consists of 220 members, which include a color guard (on your right), a feature twirler (on your left), a dance line (behind the color guard and twirler).
To be able to participate in the Rose Parade, a band needs to go through a sequence of tough screen processes and trainings.

Another photo of the same squad with slightly different angle is shown in WS.
