This is the Audi R-10 TDI participating in the American Le Mans Series at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah (home of the ubiquitous killer rabbits).

This is the winning car of Emanuele Pirro and Frank Biela, beating the Penskie Porsche Spyder by less than 1/3 of a second. The Audi's are a different breed of race car, running a turbo diesel motor [I won't make any references to the pillaging of the environment that a diesel motor may make ;-)]. The Audi's are eirily quiet, with only a high whistle of the turbo coming through. The Audi's have impressive torque and better fuel economy than any other car in it's class. They are really cool (but only from a non-political, technicaly abstract, world view). Either way I like them.

The photo isn't technically as sharp as I would prefer, but it's one of the best ones that I have of the audi with a blurred background. I probably should have used a slightly faster shutter speed to minimize the movement I had while tracking the car at 200+ mph.
