Fire in the Sky, a photo from Wyoming, West

Photographer's Note

Location: The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, as viewed from the north rim of the canyon looking east. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

About the Photo: There was a forest fire a few miles away and the smoke can be seen covering the left part of the sky in this photo. The sunlight coming through the smoke created warmer colors on this already colorful canyon. This photo was taken later that same day and also has warmer/stronger colors because of the smoke.

Olá Ryan! Good compo here. Without that winding wet road the picture would result in a flat exercise. But the way it is now it's very good. Like the earthy tones and the roughness of the canyon. Good shot.

Very informative image, with nice use of perspective along the canyon. I especially like the slightly underexposure here and perfectly rendered details of the walls.

Nice details and composition Ryan. I like the minimal inclusion of sky and the way the colours in the river and sky mirror eachother.
