Circle farming field in Lubbock, a photo from Texas, South

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken from the plane in Lubbock city, Texas. The circle fields look so funny to me because where I am from (Cambodia) the farming fields are in retangular shape. My friends studying in agricuture major told me that the irrigation system in this way is good. He also told me that Texas has a lot of free land so that is why they do like this (^^)

The flat landscape looks very like that I saw around Siem Reap.

Well done in spotting the scene and catching it so well - an unusual set-up for the fields and interesting to see.

Nice capture from up there:) Those circles look like CD's to me:)) In my country the fields are rectangular shaped too. Very very interesting photo, probably unique here on TE.

It's views like this have me requesting the window seat - thanks for the note; no two fields in Shropshire are alike so often wondered why these fields looked like giant pacman games.

The contrast and tone give a great feel of altitude - I may have rotated the image a few degrees clockwise to line the horizontal to the edge of the frame and shift the perspective to a point more central on the horizon ... but on the other hand .. I do like it as it is; adds to the moment, sense of place.
