Photographer's Note
It's been too busy for me lately, but I really did want to post another photo again. Here's one from the west side of Teton National Park. Most folks see these mountains from the east, but here is the western view, which is mostly agricultural (and lots of expensive cabins!).
The peaks in the distance here, made to seem even further by my lens, rise to over 13,000 feet. The photo was shot about 6500 feet in elevation. The Grand Teton National Park was established in 1929, then expanded in 1950. It is famous for its wildlife and rugged scenery. Even in this agricultural area, deer and elk graze on people's yards and bears can be a nuisance if you leave your garbage out too long.
Thanks for looking!

Hi David,
Again, another wonderful shot. I love the color of the field and the mountain peaks. It looks like it's close to sunset.
Looking forward to the next one!

Hi David
I like the strong color contrast between the red fg & blue sky. Good composition using the one third rule. The distant cabin adds a focal point. Tfs!

Hi David, nice to see a new photo from you. Whoa, what a mood with the light in this one, casting an almost golden glow on everything, Nice framing too with the deep field in the foreground, and good how the shadow from the left is additionally pointing to the building. Good to see the Teton Range in the back. I think I know this area, it's the "Teton Scenic Byway" (ID Rt 33) and I also went along it 3 years ago. Nice photo, well done.

Hi David,
Long time no see, nice to say hello !
The timing is obviously the strongest asset here, with this light you put the nature on fire (staying on the safe side) and get superb warm colors to contrast against the sky, I like as well the peaks rising over the flat lands in the distance.
Have a nice day,

Hi David,
The lighting is magical here, with fine shadows. The depth is also amazing. Would that be one of the "fine cottages" in the distance? Love the golden grain here, David. First rate, with a bit of departure from your usual style.

Hi David,
The light and color in this photo are wonderful as is the precise detail of the ripened grain. Although little Driggs has really grown lately (that little grocery store has gone quite upscale), you've manged to capture a very pastoral scene. We've been skiing at Targhee for the past several years. The lack of crowds and that wonderful snow make it worth the drive from San Diego.

Salut David

Hello David. What an extraordinary light you have achieved in this photo. The crop, the long shadows, the distant peaks, and in the focal point the human habitation. A really stunning image.

The colours from the evening light are truly wonderful. This is one of those compositions where the central placement of the main subject work. Everything seems to point to the houses under the mountains; firstly the shadow, but less obvious is the perspective from the lines of crops. Also the lie of the mid-ground mountains point to the houses. Good work.

Greetings David.
I really like the orange tone of this photo. Good texture as well to the grains in the field. You POV looks as if you are in the middle of the field, very well done. Good saturation and it helps that you have beautiful low lighting. Very good balance to this shot as well.

The warm light and strong contrast make this a very striking image, David. I am not sure that I would have composed this with the house and peaks in the centre though, but I don't know whether you had any alternative because I don't know what is off to the left and right of your POV. The contrast against the sky is great. Cheers . . . David

hi david
Good shot of this field and great mountains in the last light of the setting sun. Top depth and perspective. Interesting coincidence as I used the same kind of light in my last posting:

What beautiful symmetry on this shot David! The best thing about it is that the symmetry not immediately obvious, but helps make it an excellent picture. Your depth is great on this shot, the colors are rich, and the lighting adds a lot--it has both a sunset and a night feel to it. Nice job.

I consider this as a very strong composition. This photo will look better blown up three times it size as shown on the moniter or even bigger! The grains or the plants build up the interest on the site or area of the houses. The dark blue of the sky compliments the overall color of the land color. It is an excellent work!
Thank you for your comments on my photo, "Antioch Bridge". I admit it is not of good quality but I will risk the critique so I can include it in my theme. It was taken using my old digital camera, three years ago.
Happy Holidays,
Andre'

Hello David
There is a song lyric I am reminded of when I see this photo.
"...Take me home, mountain home
To the place... I call home!...."
The composition in this photo is great.
I usually don't like centered photos the best, but I feel that the way you have captured this homely view is worth the consideration.
What really appeals to me are the warm colour tones that seem to cover the entire photo. Combinethis with the sudden impression brought by the blue sky and this is an instant winner.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi David. The vast, level terrain is most impressive, especially as the light plays upon the heads of wheat and gives texture to most of the scene between us and the house. The peaks plus the warm light in the center, in particular on the house, provide a strong sense of depth, design and balance. Top job. Regards. Klaudio.
