Photographer's Note

Another picture on my series of the Aspen trees in Colorado.

Some interesting info about these trees:
-The town of Aspen, CO gets its name from these trees.
-A close relative of popular trees
-Gets the name "quaking" from the way it moves in the fall breeze
-They have a wider range than any other tree in N. America, and they do especially well in cooler weather.
-They are considered an invasive tree because it will quickly take over an area; which is why they are often found in larger patches and will quickly repopulate a forrest after a fire.

(Info from http://landscaping.about.com/cs/landscapecolor/a/fall_foliage2.htm).

I just loved the contrast of the yellow leaves against the bright blue sky that day.

Post processing: I removed a power line, cropped, Autolevels, and framed.
