Photographer's Note

Photo of a lone fisherman fishing on the portion of the Contra Loma Reservoir with a gorgeous reflection of the golden hills beyond. The lower part of the hill and the flat area by the reservoir is green. The sky is blue the reflection on the water is magical.

This is an old photograph taken when my wife and I were hiking the trail around the reservoir.

bonjour André,
tout ŕ fait exceptionnel comme image. L'eau ressemble ŕ de l'huile, ce qui donne un reflet splendide. Les couleurs sont puissantes....chutttt ça mort au bout de la ligne !

This is a really wonderful image, Andre. At first I thought it was yet another autumn shot, but looking at the green trees I can see that it's not.
Your composition is excellent; your decision to give more weight to the reflection was certainly the right one. I like the horizontal layering of blue, gold and green, and your placement of the fisherman is spot-on.
I like the calm atmosphere, great work.
One of your best, in my humble opinion.

Hi, Andre. This image gives a feeling of peace and serenity. Everything looks so calm here. The reflections on the water are very good and you've placed the boat very well in the composition. Very good colours and light and excellent sharpness.

The rippled mirror effect is amazing and has produced a really beautiful shot. The lone fisherman is ideally placed in the scene. Wonderful sharpness and great natural colours too. Very nice work Andre.

I like this one, lovely tones, strong blue, green and orange.
The idea is also nice, this indeed lonely fisher, captured from the back, which makes him anonymous..and doesn't break into the scene. The colours on the other side of the reservoir seem natural, sharpness is good. Well composed, the fisher not in the center.
