Hawaii Wave, a photo from Hawaii, West

Photographer's Note

This was taken on the island of Kauai. I had to take this by putting it on a rock as the airline lost my bag with my tripod..... That is another story.

This is a picture of a wave getting ready to hit some lava rocks that have some different types of plant life growing. I felt that the red and blue mixed very well. There was very minor fixes.... Crop, sharpen, and that's about it.

I like this a lot. The wave looks like it was painted in the background. Beautiful silky look of the water and nice compo.

Though I think the composition is a bit lacking, I like the effect of the water and the overall atmosphere of the moment you've captured. I think it has a surrealistic feel, sort of like a impressionist painting.
