Photographer's Note

This a close up of one of the faces in the statue commemorating the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, where the people of Hungary rose up against the USSR. This ended badly, with tens of thousands of people dying, being tortured or executed, and over 200,000 people being forced to flee the country. The memorial in Boston commemorates their efforts towards democracy.
