Photographer's Note

Best opened in a new tab for better detail.

Back to my local area and a national park that starts at the end of our street. It is a huge, mostly wilderness, national park (covering 490 sq km).
I went for a recent wander in an area that had suffered in the recent fires looking at how trees are recovering. The light colour smooth barked eucalypts in this photo have shed the burnt bark and are busily re-shooting. The blackened ones don't shed their bark but re-shoot through their rough bark. On the far right is a termite mound what seems to have survived the fires undamaged.
In the workshop a close up of a eucalypt that is still shedding the burnt bark.
