Photographer's Note
I had a bit of luck here with a scrub turkey scuttling across the frame just as I took a shot of Ithaca Creek picnic ground in Mt Coo-tha State Forest Park. It makes a nice temporary escape from suburbia. Ithaca is an island in the Ionian Sea near Kefalonia. The connection? Governor George Bowen (1859-1867) wrote a book featuring the Ionian islands of Greece. There are walking tracks to Simpson Falls which would be worth visiting after rain.

Hello Chris,
A nice inhabitant to meet on a walk through a park. I also like how the road goes through the photo on two curves between the trees. I guess that's what you intended to capture when the bird suddenly made the composition even nicer.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Chris,Ithaca is a fundamental island in Greek history and mythology that is also studied in Italian schools, a curious name for this campsite with great luck to have this turkey bonus, the photo is a bit crooked but the quality is excellent despite the cloudy day, very natural and relaxing environment. Thanks for share,Luciano

Bonjour Chris,
Le sentier sinueux crée de la profondeur. La prise de voir permet de voir les détails des arbres et de la dinde. La lumičre met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hi Chris
It is many years since I've been up to Mt Coo-tha. Brush turkeys certainly have character and are very common along the east coast. Some gardeners don't like them. Well captured.
cheers

Hi Chris,
Well taken, well timed with this turkey on the path, good perspective with this sinuous road through the green dominant, tfs.

Hello Chris, This turkey is different from our turkeys. I saw similar somewhere in South America. Nice view of the road in this park. I visited in Brisbane beautiful Botanical Garden and fantastic Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. You could show some photos from there.

Lepo mesto sa pesackom stazom za setnju i odmor.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.

Hi Chris,
Quite a charming bird. I think you could have saved this photo for Christmas, ha ha
Nicely captured with the picnic area in the background. It looks as if rushing for a picnic or escaping from it :)

The Turkey has given a whoile different aspect to the park photogrtaphy, grabbing most attention, Chris.
Yet, this green-lung in the city looks as a charm place to take an easy stroll.
Good evening,
