Photographer's Note

One of the famous Whitsunday Coast sunrises showing Dent Island highlighted with the mainland and Shute Habour under clouds. Dent Island will suffer some major changes in the very near future. Some of the rich and sometimes famous have decided to build a Golf Course there. Another natures jewel will be lost forever and the sights will never be the same.

Hi Thomas,
Dramatic light here, and I guess the it changed so quickly that you didn't have time to fiend best viewpoint. Clouds have nice colours: purple, smoky grey and natural white where the sun shines.
The lit part of land is beautiful. I'd crop from the bottom where the whole area is almost black.

Hi Thomas - sad but unsurprising story, but excellent light here, I beleive I also walked up to this lookout (some short wooden platform that needs to be much higher because of the growing trees?) I was disappointed by the view, but you caught a much moere dramatic light.
