Photographer's Note

Mount Beerburrum lookout is a steep 300 metre climb. The peak in the distance is Mount Tibrogargan, one of the Glasshouse Mountains named by Captain Cook in 1770. Matthew Flinders climbed Mt Beerburrum in 1792, when exploring the region.

It looks like a bushfire has gone through this area of the mountaintop, judging by the blackened tree. Both Beerburrum & Tibrogargon are aboriginal names for these extinct volcanoes, last active 20 million years ago.
