Photographer's Note

This is the perpetual flame at the Shrine of Remembrance on St. Kilda Road in Melbourne. Its a beautiful shrine, with several trees planted around it. Each tree dedicated to a regiment, battallion or platoon or other miliatry groups of men, who died in wars in service for their country. I may post some pictures of the shrine itself later.
This perpetual flame was lit on 28th of February 1954 by Queen Elizabeth II.
I liked the way the flames danced in the wind and I thought I'd photograph it.

The only change I made to the picture was cropping it a bit.
