Photographer's Note
Another shot in the series from Wilsons Prom showing the bush returning to live after the bushfires. In the BG you can see many small burnt trees against the white sand. It was taken near Picnic Bay.
Wilsons Promontory (affectionately known to Victorians as 'the Prom') is arguably the most loved national park in Victoria. Its 130 km coastline is framed by granite headlands, mountains, forests and fern gullies. The park contains the largest coastal wilderness area in Victoria.

Hi Steve,
A very nice composition with the new sprouts placed at the lower left corner, and against the charred tree trunk. The subject is well separated from the BG at FL70mm. I like the diffused light which means without distracting shadows. To me, this kind of contrast between the new sprouts and the burnt tree trunk is a very powerful language. Well seen.
Cheers

Hello Steve, I just looked at the latest edition of Royalauto (RACV) they have a shot very similar to this, also taken at the Prom, not as good as your of course. The contrast between the charred trunk, burnt out trees in BG & the new growth is quite amazing. Well captured.
Cheers
Santo
