Photographer's Note

New Years eve was quite a party here in Sydney and New Years day was….well lets say it was a day of rest and headache tablets.
Late in the day my wife and I were sitting out the back of our house with a glass of “hair of the dog”, talking about what the new year might have in store for us. Without much warning this beautiful sunset just seemed to appear from nowhere. For some reason the sunsets here in summer have a beautiful orange glow unlike in winter when the colours are more toward the deep reds.

We talked about how wonderful nature is and how much beauty there is right in front of our eyes as long as you are prepared to open your eyes and see the beauty our world has to offer. We clinked glasses and wished each other a Happy New Year.

To all my friends here on TE, I wish you all a happy, safe, and healthy 2010.
