There is plenty of wildlife in the Flinders Ranges but I only got the chance to take photos of birds so three bird photos today of varying quality.
The main one shows 3 ground feeding Ringneck Parrots (Barnardius zonarius) just outside our cabin. I didn't have long lens on so this zoom by cropping.
In WS1 are a group of emus also taken not far from our cabin.
In WS2 you'll see an eagle .

Hello Ian,
The green colours of the birds' feathers are brighter than the grass and low bushes and make them stand out well, just as their yellow details. A good capture of these birds on the ground.

Hi Ian,
Great series with the beautiful wild life. I would like the emus most but since it was evening and no direct sunlight they are slightly lost in the setting, but you have a great satisfaction of capturing them. The main upload is the most exciting with the colorful parrots and you caught three birds with one stone ha ha

Hello Ian,
While these photos are not the technically best you have shown us, they still offer nice views of the local birdlife. The main photo is quite sharp for a cropped photo, as usual much better in a new tab. The parrots are very pretty and should be able to hide quite well in the grass.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Ian,
The vegetation is helping to fram the birds. The point of view is showing the details of the Ringedneck Parrots. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Beautiful three colors Parrots, Ian, and the WS's show other birds in the Flinders.
The big rock on teh main post a bit draws attention, nonetheless, you had no other choice, only guessing.
Have a nice sunday,
Ike

Ian,
I always remember that birds were the first wonder I found in Aussie. Stunning green, camouflaged among those grasses/reeds.

You've got birds of all sizes in these uploads. The cutest are these smallest ones with fun colors.

ian
marvelous samples of local birds, we can feel as rich is the fauna in this corner. I liked more the image of the emus, despite they are almost mixed with the environment.
take care
