Photographer's Note
My first time capturing fireworks...
I knew it's not perfect, however, It helps me learning for the coming New Year's Firework.
In fact, i was very lucky, i was there and i didn't know that there will be fireworks. Then, suddenly it came out, i just didn't know what to do and what to set with my camera...
Also, it was very short fireworks and it was a little raining at the time as well :(

beautiful scene, shooting fireworks is not easy and I think you did a good job, the composition is very good, everything is sharp, fireworks are not blown out... it is a bit too dark on the left side, but I know it it is tricky to have everything perfect in such shot... the red water is great, very nice attempt!

Another great photo. really well composed and taken. The colours and clarity are superb (as usual).
I would crop out some of the left side and also some of the water at the bottom to minimise the amount of black in ths shot.
Really goood stuff!

A really good first attempt to capture a firework display. The fireworks provide the lighting for a nice silhouette of the bridge.

Well, you say that it is not perfect, can you be more precise about that since I can´t imagin whats wrong here:)
You have a well exposed firework, thats rare. Then there is both the Harbour bridge and the Opera, two fine pieces of architecture and civil engineering. The Opera has a perfect night exposure. On top a fantastic reflection in the river.
Now I see whats wrong! There might be a slight tilt to the right and you can crop of the dark left side to make it better.

Well done mate. Right time at the right place.
Captured really well, its sharp and exposure seem alright. Really good for a first time fire works shot.

I think you have done a wonderfull job here, you have done very well to leave the sky on the left and the lights reflected on the water is a nice touch!
By luck or not a beautiful capture

Sensational pic Din. I should try to get to the Botanical Gardens next time for the pics (I guess that's where you were??) With this and the Melbourne shots, it looks like you have worked out the exposures very well.

You definitely fooled me; I'd have never thought this was a first attempt. I think the digital format helps capture these kinds of shots. The picture came out great. Well-exposed, sharp and focused. Only suggestion I have is to crop out some of the dark space on the left.
Would be interested to have more details (is this multiple exposure or just one? If just one, roughly how long was the exposure? What was f-stop?)
