Waterfront Place, Brisbane

Is it the glass building that is beautiful, or is the beauty merely the reflection of its surrounds?

After several requests from viewers of my gallery, I have posted, and will continue to post a few shots of the buildings of Brisbane. This is Waterfront place, the largest of the ‘glass towers’ that dominate the waterfront. This tower features its own riverside dock and borders the lush botanical gardens. Built in 1988, this tower apparently needed to have all of its windows X-rayed due to cracks which would shatter the huge panes and allow them to fall onto the gardens below, and was thankfully quickly fixed. Depending on the weather, this building appears gold, black, grey or the usual blue. A pretty building, I liked the contrast between new and old.
