Photographer's Note

Tonight I had the opportunity to take a fresh series of photos of my city, Brisbane, this time form the bottom of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs and under the Story Bridge (featured in my Riverfire series). The weather was actually unseasonable, with squally showers and heavy cloud. But at dusk, some unusual pink hues filled the skies. A passing group of canoeists each wearing a headlamp were paddling in front of my view and I took the combined opportunity to snap away, careful to have some foreground. A passing ferry, seen as the streak closer to the buildings created some waves which threw the canoes around a little bit causing those squiggles.
