Well, this is a beautiful shot. I just wish there was more balance in the image: you concentrated all the tall buildings and lights on the right and kept most of the center and left in darkness. But I guess you wanted to get the opera building into the shot as well, therefore, this is a minor fault. Apart from that you managed extreme sharpness and crispiness from your makeshift tripod. Very well done!

Owwww...this makes me feel like taking the plane to Australia right away!!
I think the picture is very nice. Don't know if you had the intention to keep the Opera House less bright as the tall buildings, but to me it looks a bit mysterious. For some even, like me, I don't need a bright Opera House, cause I know it's there!
Btw, you mentioned you didn't have a tripod. It says 'Yes' in the details about the photo...

The brightness of certain objects within a building can't really be changed without using a graduated neutral density or grey filter, but I personally don't think it's necessary in this photo at all. The light balance is perfect, and the Opera House exactly as it should be.
The one thing that bothers me is the photo is leaning to the left. You might one to try to rotate it a degree to the right.
Otherwise, a very, very nice photo, especially under the circumstances.
Well Done!!

Very beautiful, Daniel. Perfect exposure. A bit dark in the center but still excellent.

Nice crisp shot. Especially nice considering it was handheld (albeit supported). Interesting how the large boat is in the streak of light reflected from the buildings. At the risk of being accused of self promotion, see my complimentary photo from the other side. ;)

shot without tripod? you must be having a tough time with the slightest camera shake. Awesome shot!

I think you tried to encompass too much in this photo by trying to get the tall buildings of the CBD and the Sydney Opera House in one composition. Both main areas of focus are polarized from each other and both seem cut off, like we're missing part of the photo.

Wow, I am impressed to take a shot like this without a tripod, I try so hard but i struggle to stay still enough, even when I put the camera on something still! This is a beautiful pic of Sydney with lots of texture.
