Photographer's Note
This shot was taken while walking the Tongariro crossing, N.Z.'s most popular walk encompassing an incredible variety of colours and landscapes all within a one day 17km walk. The Mountain in the photo is known as Mt. Ngauruhoe (2291m)and is N.Z.'s most active volcano with 61 eruptions since 1839.

Great Shot. At the end of a six-months stay in NZ in 2005 I climbed it with a few friends. I looked like it was going to be all fog, but when we got on top we got a great view in all directions. Great memories.
Great colors in this shot, and very sharp as well, and what a day it must have been to do the Tongariro Crossing. Beautiful.
