Photographer's Note

Without a doubt themost enjoyable place to stay for Jennifer and myself has been Kahoe Farms Hostel. Run by Stephano, a Michael Keaton look-a-like who hails from italy and claims that 'nothing makes him happier than cooking pizza and making coffee' this working cattle farm is nothing short of amazing. This picture (and more to come in the future) was taken while on a private walk arround the farm. I think it shows some of the beauty that New Zealand has to offer. One of the most striking features of NZ has to be the beautiful shades of green that seem to blanket absolutly everything. I tried to get as much of that green into the shot by extending my dov with a f-stop of 22.
Post proc = crop, USM, slight contrast boost.

The composition is perfect but it's a bit too dark for me. It's particularly evident for the hill on the right, which is completely black on my screen.

The composition is excellent. It's a very good idea to have the tree on a white background given by clouds. It is a minimalist picture like I am fond to.

However two critiques :
1. It is curious this white fog on the left part of the tree
2. I think that the image is a bit dark or in shadow, I think you could improve it by adjusting curves or saturate colors a bit more.

I like a lot the colors and the contrast between them.Great textures and light.But I think this photo needs more sharp.Good composition and framing.I like the sky,very good clouds and blue.Great job!

Very nice different green, especially the fresh field in the foreground.
I like the composition of the tree.

Mike this is my favorite picture you have posted its got great colours and its so simple that its complex with the changing landscape

Great shot man. I like the position of the tree in this shot. THe hill and the cloud on the right hand side I am not so sure about though, but that is just me.
