Photographer's Note

Beautiful forces of nature... icefalls, glaciers and last but not least - avalanches. This avalanche, falling down from the steep slopes of Mount Sefton in Southern Alps, was captured from Mueller Hut. It is much easier to hear the avalanche than actually see it:)))

Hello Viktor,
I have seen Mt. Sefton a few times, but the only time I was ther top was from a plane. When I visited Hooker Valley, the peaks were sitting in the clouds, but I still got some good glimpses of this amazing face. This is surely the best spot in NZ to see this awesome event. Good deep tones, and excellent frame. Good clarity.
