Photographer's Note

This one is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The island on the left is called Savai, the little island in the middle is called Manono and on the right is Upolu

There is no internet access, no electricity, not even walls, - nothing to write home about except the sea and the sky.

I took this picture long before cameras went digital and long before the internet started to get popular and even longer before this site went online.

The story is: when I look at the picture today, ist still feels to me as if it was taken yesterday.

na denn mal Gratulation zur runden Zahl, und mit Sicherheit ein sehr schönes Jubiläumsbild..
auch in den alten Zeiten gab es schon gute Bilder..

und die Ruhe dort muß spürbar sein..

I miss your photos here on TE,and I really can't understand why you've removed all the latest images!:(

Concerning this photo taken relatively long ago, it's a beautiful view where the sky mingles with the water. When I see such photos my first though is: I wish I could see it in a much much larger size to see all the details of the beauty!

Concerning what you wrote in the Note to this photo, - "when I look at the picture today, ist still feels to me as if it was taken yesterday", you are quite right, and I know how it feels... but it is simply because remembrances know no time - they are beyond Time in our mind.
