Jorge Amado, a photo from Bahia, Northeast

Photographer's Note

Statue of Jorge Amado, sitting at Vesuvio Bar, in the town of Ilhéus. Although he was born in Itabuna, the writer spent his childhood in Ilhéus, state of Bahia. On the background we can see Jorge Amado's Block, where the house where he lived is today a museum paying tribute to him. Writer of famous novels, such as "Gabriela, Clove and Cinnamon", "Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands", and "Tieta, the Goat Girl", he is one of the few great writers who dedicated himself exclusively to literature, never having worked with something else. He died in 2001, and his ashes were spread on his house's garden. He was one of the greatest idols from Bahia and Brazil.

Acho que o grande poeta está tăo bem representado que quase năo se nota diferença nas imagens que se vę dele. O enquadramento está excelente.

Olá Fabiano,
bem interessante mesmo essa estátua, deve ter um bocado de bębado que bate papo com ele. Quanto a foto gostei das cores, mas tem um problema com a nitidez, ou "pixeling", ja comentei com sua măe sobre isso uma vez, e ela resolveu nas fotos dela, mas năo sei como. Sugiro atualizar o Photoshop também.

Coloriu o mapa da Bahia, hein! Tomou um cafezinho com o Jorge Amado? Essa mesa é liberada ao público ou é exclusiva do escritor? A foto ficou bem interessante com o detalhe de sua rua mostrada ao fundo. Que livro ele está lendo?

Que idéia mais simpática colocar a estátua do grande escritor em uma das mesas do bar. Bem do jeităo dele esta camisa colorida. Excelente enquadramento, ótimas cores, luz e profundidade da imagem.

Fabiano,
confesso que ele năo se parece muito com o famoso escritor. De qualquer forma é uma bela homenagem.
O lugar em si, com aquela rua estreita mais atrás, parece ser bem aconchegante para uma bate-papo ou um bom café.

This writer one was certainly accustomed of this coffee, I think. Beautiful and interesting photograph where I appreciate much this good luminosity and the framing of the image which gives depth to this urban landscape. I also notice that the weather was to be rather hot this day, the customers sought the shade Well done Fabiano.

Very interesting image, on its composition, colors and quality. Excellent note, giving useful information about Jorge Amado, who is known in the former Soviet Union mainly with his novel "Capităes de Areia" and American movie "The Sandpit Generals", which was very popular here. Marvelous statue posted out in the restaurant tables, Fabiano, almost thought it was human.
The surrounding also looks calm and inviting, green and yellow with blue sky combined well.
