Photographer's Note

We spent the whole morning exploring that mountain and It was very hot. At noon our guide decided to take us for a lunch in one of the many ranches of the region; the original project should be a lunch in another property, but it was a holiday and the place was so full of people and he swapped the plan.
As I told you before there are many small ranchers in this region who are using tourism to earn money, preserving the local vegetation.
The owner of this ranch was a very extravagant man. My guide told me he ever says he has real contacts with ETs and himself came from Mars. The ranch is adorned with crystals and has a humble timber house where he was playing his accordion, inside a hammock, in his veranda. When I was taking photos of a shy wild monkey that was trying to eat a banana he had left there, he saw my camera and said his one was so big as mine and he had lots of images of wild animals who visited the ranch and he had published some images in the National Geographic, he had been shown in an international video, etc..
In fact our guide gave us the food he brought from our guest house and we enjoyed the creek located few meters far from the house. There was a kind of small dam with a artificial fall created by a big tube of timber, located at my side, and in front my camera it was this small pool, not so shallow as you can think. The waters were so clear it was difficult to see them.
This region is located near Amazon forest, but the climate and vegetation is very different, curiously the some amazonian plants can be found near the streams, because the humidity.
