Sao José de Ribamar is a Brazilian city in the Maranhão state. 134.593 was its estimated population in 2006.

It's nice to discover a place that is not registered in TE. I didn't find any pic of that town in here, surprisely. There is not much information in english in the internet so you need to trust what I say or translate.

São José de Ribamar is a saint of great devotion of his people. That explains the profusion of Josephs and Marias of Ribamar names between "Maranhenses" (people who was born in Maranhão). The feast of their patron saint miracle is very famous and it happens for ten days, no fixed date of September, always at the full moon. In São José de Ribamar you find the third largest monument in Brazil, losing height only to Christ the Redeemer (RJ) and Padre Cícero (CE). The city is the main destination of faith in the State. About 500 thousand peregrinators visit Ribamar in the month of September, when they deposit the promises in the House of Miracles and visit the statue of 17.5 m raised to the guard. The other highlight of this festival city is nothing religious: the first weekend after Ash Wednesday, over 200 thousand people gather to watch a parade of traditional carnival blocks of São Luís.
