A Pedra Grande é a parte da Serra do Itatiaiuçu, localizada no município de Igarapé, cujo acidente geográfico situa-se na junçăo dos limites municipais de Igarapé, Itatiaiuçu, Brumadinho e Mateus Leme. O bem natural tem importância regional estratégica por ser berço de nascentes responsáveis pela recarga hídrica de um dos aquíferos que abastecem a regiăo metropolitana de Belo Horizonte. A área faz parte do Quadrilátero Ferrífero, província geológica conhecida por seus depósitos e minas de ferro, manganęs, ouro, calcário e bauxita.

Pedra Grande (The Big Rock) is part of the Serra do Itatiaiuçu, located in the municipality of Igarapé, whose geographic accident is located at the junction of the municipal limits of Igarapé, Itatiaiuçu, Brumadinho and Mateus Leme. The natural asset has strategic regional importance as it is the cradle of springs responsible for the water recharge of one of the aquifers that supply the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte. The area is part of the Iron Quadrangle, a geological province known for its deposits and mines of iron, manganese, gold, limestone and bauxite.

The dark rock looks quite dramatic and the surrounding scenery also looks attractive. The two persons and their motorbikes are perfectly placed to fill the foreground and create a balance to the composition. Sharpness and exposure are perfect too.

The two motorcyclists have chosen a rough terrain to tour in.
A bizarre rock with whimsical shapes suddenly pops up high in the deserted landscape. With a little imagination you can discover the head of a person in the rock.

Hello Lucas,

Those two cyclists are very strong placed in your frame, which you have composed particularly well.
It does not surprise me that they decided to rest at this point, for the scenery before them is truly stunning! You have captured the rugged details of the Big Rock really well so that we can appreciate the rough textures and compare them with the much softer textures of the grasses in the f/g.

um lindo lugar e a pedra é de fato grande. haha. gostei muito da composiçăo com os motociclistas bem colocados em cena, apreciando a vista e a pedra. aqui no meu município eu tenho apenas um paredăo de basalto parecido, mas está escondido pela mata agora.

I assume the two bikers who give a useful information about the size of the boulder, don't intend to drive up toward the summit!
Nice visual balance provided by these two guys, compared to peak.
