REPRESA DE JURUMIRIM NA CIDADE DE AVARÉ !
JURUMIRIM RESERVOIR IN THE TOWN OF AVARÉ !

AVARÉ is a small town in the middle-west of the STATE OF SÃO PAULO!
There's a hidroelectric power plant (in the PARANAPANEMA RIVER) and a reservoir in its municipality and it's considered by many a internal sea! Even people from the city of SÃO PAULO (some 250km away, to the east) have houses around it and usually go there on holidays for less stressing (or relaxing moments)!
Here I was driving from CASTILHO (where my parents live) back to CAMPINAS (where I live) and taking a different way (one that my father used to take when I was a child - good memories)!
I was about to go across the CARVALHO PINTO BRIDGE, in the borders of the municipalities of AVARÉ (To the north) and ITAÍ (To the South, where I was)! The bridge is one of the longest in the State of São Paulo and it was inaugurated in 1962.

JURUMIRIM means "FOZ PEQUENA"/"SMALL MOUTH OF A RIVER"!
Area of the reservoir: 449 square kilometers (with a volume of water 4 times the GUANABARA BAY, in RIO DE JANEIRO!
